Salts keep indefinitely as long as they’re stored in dry, room temperature conditions. Salts with infused flavors begin to lose their flavor after 3 years.
Do I need to use a salt mill?
No, our gourmet salts have a fine grain size, so they can be used straight out of the jar without having to grind them.

I always bought Alchemy spices when we lived in Chattanooga. Now that we live in Tucson AZ, I’ve learned to embrace the heat in the weather and in my food. Per John’s recommendation, I tried this Jerk Spice blend and really enjoy it. It checks all the boxes on what you would expect of from Alchemy- well ground and blended spices that create a wonderful flavor profile. Whatever kind of magic they employ to make this stuff is a winner in my book. After living in SW Florida for many years, and being exposed to so many different techniques and methods to make authentic grilled Jamaican Jerk Chicken, this spice blend hits the mark. I mix it with some neutral cooking oil to make a paste and slather it all over chicken and let it marinate overnight before grilling. Serve with Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce and some rice/beans and you will have a memorable meal. Well done, Alchemy Team!
